Tested it out today. Works a treat. Very easy to use. 2 points though -

1) messes up my pc desktop icon arrangement - it switches my ressy to 1024x768. when I disable the sharing I need to rearrange manually again.

2) trouble thinking of practical uses for it. Espacially as it only works when your pc is on and se up to stream.

Neat fun app though, even if I can't think of any decent uses for it :p

You need to look into wol, that way you can turn on your pc when off!

Can you expand on that please? My technical knowledge here isn't wonderful. Also, can you give me some practical uses for this app too please other than a novelty party peice to show my boss?

The practical use of WOL is electricity and therefore money saving.

Right now, if you want to use a remote desktop application, you need to leave the computer on the whole time, or you cannot connect to it. WOL works around that, it let's you wake up a turned off computer remotely. So when you want to connect to a PC remotely, you first use WoL to wake it and then use the normal remote desktop application to control the remote computer.

As to how to turn it on, it seems to be two-fold. One setting needs to be activated under windows and one in the BIOS. However, the details depend on the hardware used.
