SEGA announced today that it has released a major update for Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing for iOS. With the release of the new update, fans get some really cool new goodies, including a sunny new track, Sunfair, and two new characters, namely Knuckles the Echidna and Shadow the Hedgehog. Also included in the update are Airplay and HDMI video-out modes, iCloud progress saving and data sharing, in-game commerce support, character faces on the Minimap in single-player mode, and Game Center profile pics on the Minimap in Multiplayer.

Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing sees your favourite SEGA characters racing each other across more than 15 tracks in an adrenaline-fuelled dash to the checkered flag. Just as with all the best console racing games, it’s not all about straightforward racing, with plenty of traps and missiles to dodge, as well as All-Star moves to pull off. A fantastic game just got even better for Sonic fans.
