Some apps not finding location

Some of my apps are not finding my location. I have 2 wifi routers. When I use the older one (unsecured) all of my apps find my location. When I use the newer one (secured) some (but not all) of my apps don't find my location. Is secured vs unsecured the issue? And if it is...is there any workaround for the secured router?

I am not an expert on this but I will hazard a guess that the secured router is blocking a port that one of your apps is trying to access while the other app is accessing an open port.
