Is it possible to send SMS text messages from iPad 2?

U-Tube shows an app called Text plus, but I cannot find it.

    Cheers.

Yes, it's possible. Try Textfree or Textnow apps.

Thanks for the reply, but Textnow and Textfree do not appear to exist either

If you type the word "text" in the app store search box, both will come up.

Colin, aren't you in the UK? I saw a post you made about help with ntlworld provider, which UK-based (I used them when I was stationed there).

So, you probably wont see a lot of these texting app in the UK App Store, they are only available in the USA

So, can any UK iPad owners help the gentleman out? Could he use Google Voice, maybe?
