I bought Sketchbook Pro to do cartooning. I drew a doodle and then tried to export it to my iMac to work on it further. It wasn't easy finding out how to export it, I had to search the web for a PDF of the manual. Then the manual told me to press an icon that looks like a flower with an arrow coming out of it. On my iPad, that icon is always dark and doesn't respond. Does anyone know why?

In the Gallery view, tap the file you want to export. A blue box should appear around it and the flower+arrow icon become active.

Thanks for answering. Alas, that icon stays dark. All the others light up, but not that one.

Ok, let's try these fixes. And make sure the icon says Pro, not Express. Express is a limited trial version.

When you have problems with an app it's a good idea to clear it from RAM.

Close/Clear the app: With the problem app closed, double tap on the Home button to get the multitask bar. Tap and hold on any icon in the bar until they jiggle, then tap the minus sign on the problem app. This will remove it from RAM and insure a clean start the next time you launch the app.

If that does not work try a restart,

Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears.
and then a reset if that does not work.

Reset: Hold down the power and home buttons until the Apple logo appears. The iPad will reboot. This usually takes a bit longer than a restart.

I had this same problem. I have iCloud storage enabled, so my gallery is in the cloud. When I select an image in the gallery, then click the (remove from cloud) icon, then the export icon becomes active. I don't know why you can't export while it's on the cloud, but I think that's probably your problem.

Do you have the sketch exported to Cloud? If so, then bring it back to your device. That worked for the same problem with me.
