Setting Up Wi-Fi

When I type in the first character of the password to "Join" my Wi-Fi network, the "Join" key on the keyboard goes grey and does not function.

Help. I'm brand new to the MAC thing.

your key must be a certain length or it wont work, this is standard for any wifi device.

JOIN Greyed Out

I am assuming that you are using WPA2. In this case the IPAD 2 is demanding that you have a password of at least 8 characters before It will allow you to attempt a Connection to your WIFI. Change the WPA2 password to have 8 characters and your JOIN button will now look normal.
