Searching email

I have had a few different email accounts set up on my iPad2. Now I just have one and I noticed that I no longer get the option when searching within emails to search the server as well. It has become very frustrating. Anyone know why this is or if it can be adjusted?

What type of email account is the one you have left? It hast to be IMAP or Exchange to search the sever. POP does not support this feature.
