Safari isn't remembering passwords

I have set safari to remember passwords but every time I open up sites such as this one, I keep having to enter my username and password every time as it's not remembering it. My username and password should auto populate but it doesn't. Any suggestions?

There are a few settings that you could take a look at:

Is Safari set to Private browsing? You can see this in the app itself. If it looks like this:

To end private mode, open a new tab and tap Private at the bottom left or on the keyboard, also left.

In Settings - Safari - Block Cookies don't choose "Always".

In Settings - Safari - Passwords & Autofill enable Names & Passwords, if you didn't before.
