ipad2

Safari on my ipad2 is frozen - kids opened 8 pages it seems.
Tried deleting all other apps to make the ipad2 lighter
Deleted cache, cookies, etc.
Safari still wont respond.

Could anyone please point me in the right direction?

thanks

OK - go to the Home screen.
Now double press the Home button to open the multi-task bar.
Now press and hold any icon until they all start to jiggle.
Now touch the upper left hand corner of the Safari icon in the multi-task bar to close and reset the app.
Not press the Home button again to close the multi-task bar.

See if that fixes the problem. Let us know if the problem persists and we'll move on to the next possibility - but it's best to try the easy things first!!

Good Luck...

Thanks Tim
worked like a charm.
Guess I am a novice on apple systems - need to learn my way around.
Thanks again

It's not a problem and don't worry about it. All computers hang occasionally so, as long as it's not a frequent occurence, there's no need to concern yourself.

Thanks, Tim! I had just reopened my cover the following morning and
was suddenly unable to hit the number in the upper left to get back to my
'9 tabs in the open window' page...... When I f i n a l l y figured out
the issue was a completely frozen Safari (Seems a bit oxymoronic, yes?.....),
and not just something I had done somehow within the normal functioning
of the software to not be able to navigate it..... ALL about asking the correct
question.... THANKS again for your very clearly laid out, step by step
directions!

Wow? how did the words frozen Safari end up being red, please?!
It was not purposeful; you can do colored letters on the iPad?
How about italicizing, bolding, and underlining?

Thank you, again--
