According to a report in the New York Times today, via AppleInsider, Apple may have some surprises for next Wednesday’s special event that have yet to be discovered by the press. The New York Times says that it has heard from its sources that new metal finishes for the Apple Watch may well be announced at the event, including a gold version that is cheaper than the current 18-karat gold watch that costs $10,000 and upwards. Other possible materials that Apple could reveal include white gold, titanium, or ceramic.
The same source for the New York Times also says that Apple will reveal a new iPad range on September 9, as well as a revamped iPad keyboard. There is no word yet as to whether or not this could be the wireless keyboard with integrated battery that was previously leaked by the FCC, or a different product entirely.
