We are no stranger to the following rumor, but it's always great to see echoes because it basically means additional corroboration. Intel from channel partners within the Apple food chain revealed some new details of the upcoming iPad 5 and Retina version of the iPad Mini. Both of these devices are expected to be revealed next month, and both are expected to come equipped with Apple's fingerprint scanner technology.
What's interesting about this intel is the indirect way it was reported. DigiTimes doesn't specifically state that the fingerprint technology will be present. They only revealed that the home keys of the new iPad devices will come covered in the same Sapphire glass which is found covering the finger-print sensor on the iPhone 5S.
