    Hello, just joined the forum.
What do you guys think the best apps for a rookie user?
My general interests include music, skiing, cooking and hill walking. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Welcome,

    These are good starter apps.

AppStart and AppAdvice are two good ones to start with. AppStart is a how to guide with tips and tricks. and AppAdvice tries to list all of the best and new app as they come out. They also have app guides by categories. Two great places to learn and find the apps you may be interested in. Another good one for apps is AppShopper. Also in iTunes use the search box in the top right hand corner to search for apps and to search by categories. Example; searching for "photos" or photographs" will bring up dozens of photo apps; type Games and find hundreds of games.
