Return home by touching the screen?

Is there a way to activate the home button by touching the screen instead of pressing the home button?

Not that I know of, cannot see how this would be productive. Surely you would be activating the home screen all the time by mistake when your in the middle of an app.

It wouldn't be a problem if you needed several fingers to do it....

I'm sure there's something a JB iPad user can do (I'm not a JB person) and isn't there something under iOS5?

Ahh could be Tim!
I've got multi gestures on the trackpad of my MacBook, your probably right there's bound to be some JB tweak out there, I'm not a JB person either

Yes, there is a way to make touching the screen act like using the Home button. However, as Tim alluded to, it can only be done/used if you are jail broken and have installed the Activator tweak.

There's no other way, sorry.
