Retrieving deleted emails

How do I retrieve an accidentally deleted email in the Ipad 3 standard email program?

Sometimes, if not set to directly delete to trash...it may be in your archive section. Have you checked there...also check your trash file. My deletes go to the trash file before actual deletes on gmail.
