Reloading apps

Hen I first bought my ipad, I used my wife's Apple ID to download apps. I have since got my own id.
Now, when I need to load an app update, I have to log in with her id. Is there a way to delete the app, then download it again under my id?
I hate to bug her for her id and password

Just delete the app from your iPad. Then go to the App Store, search for the app there and download it with your own Apple ID.

Before you do this, make sure you know the right name of the app, to be able to find it without problems.
