The best iPad stand for in bed is a pillow. It's awesome.

Check out these stands. I got the Wizard, which works great for use in bed or on the couch. You can adjust it to any angle, even tilting down, so you can lay down and look up at your iPad.

And it's sturdy. I worried that the ones that have arms like the desk lamps might weaken and droop. I've had lamps that became worthless like that.

The Mantis also looks really cool, but was out of my price range.

    Anyway, hope this helps.

I have ordered a Bweasel stand 24.95 from an American supplier. It looks great and is reasonably priced. Will let you know what I think when it arrives :)

Apologies if this has been mentioned. Don't have time to peruse a 14 page thread.

Recently purchased a Wedge-E for the iPad and my wife's Kindle. Absolutely great for reading in bed as well as a good stand for table, desk, etc.

I used the wedge and sent it back right away. It's pretty lame.

Wondering what the basis of your comment is. Not very helpful to say it's "lame" without further explanation. Or is it just that you work for a competitor?

I have had the Propup since they came out about a year ago. I use it every night in bed to read with, use it to sit Ipad in lap to type, in lap to read or browse without holding Ipad. Strange looking but very light and works really well. I pop out the Ipad to put in case to carry in handbag but at home its always in Propup.

Hadn't seen this product before. Pretty neat. I notice it says it fits "most" iPads with "thin" back covers. Any experience with that?

Personally, I would choose the wedge over the propup. I like having my ipad in a case and the propup doesn't allow that. Every little bit of protection I can get I will use most of the time.
