Been disappointed with the speaker performance on the iPad2 because of the placement.

Found a fairly good solution sitting right on my desk . . . a sticky note. Stuck it to the back, bent the sucker around a bit, and, waa-lah, improved volume and sound.

I can't get any sound at all on ipad2

Especially on the piano app.

I did something similar:

I took an old Apple gift card (silver-colored, with only the Apple logo on it) and cut it at angle. I slip the card between my iPad and the speaker cutout in my TPU case, which holds it steady. No adhesive, no wrinkling of paper, because the gift card is plastic, and it's from Apple, lol.

Works well when I don't want to bother with an external speaker. Also works with iPhone and iPod.

Yes, I've seen the SoundJaw, but it wouldn't work with my case, or that of many others.

I actually mostly use my Jambox Bluetooth speaker (great purchase), or my headsets or earbuds. The gift card thing costs nothing, and I leave ones in my cars and wallet for use in a pinch, for instance.

I've seen a lot of good reviews of the Jambox...hear it's quite good, especially for its size.

My experience with Jambox: amazing sound and portability, easy to use, well built, good battery life.

One improvement I'd like to see: the addition of a lighted indicator when it's on, because I forget to turn it off sometimes.

One thing in recall reading about the jambox is do not perform the available firmware update for the device as it reduced the volume level and you can't revert back to the previous firmware.

I believe that problem has been resolved with a subsequent firmware update.

Yes, I've read likewise.

I never bothered to update the firmware, though, because the Jambox already worked well for my needs.

It turns out that it may have been the particular piano program I was trying to play-I think its called Real Piano. Thanks for the replies.
