Question on setting timeout to sleep

I have searched for some way to change the time before my iPad 2 goes to sleep automatically due to 'no activity'. Does anyone know if this can be changed & how to do it? When reading an ibook, my iPad 2 will time out before I finish a page. Yes, it first dims and I can touch the screen to keep it from going to sleep but I would rather set the length of time before it will go to sleep.
