Push Messages?

Hi Guys, downloaded the iTunes free app and message came up, "Wants to send Push Messages agree or cancel" well, should I? Does that mean that now I will be bombarded with rubbish like I do on the phone, u kno ins and pps, and is iTunes any good as in worth having, beepsy

You can always deactivate the push-notifications in the notifications settings.... also on your iPhone!
That is not a one-time-question-forever-regret-the-decision-thing, you know?
