Problems with new iPad set up

    I have just started to use an iPad mini. It has a wifi connection which works OK. However I cannot send messages or contact anybody via FaceTime. When I send a message, the progress bar goes almost all the way but then stops, and eventually an error message appears. When I try to use FaceTime, no connection is made whether I am the sender or receiver.

    I suspect it is something to do with the set up, but can't find any clues.

    Any help fro you experienced users would be appreciated.

    are your icloud credentials correct? try to disable/enable your icloud account, worked for me
