Problem Connecting to Internet

    Hi There,

    I am having trouble connecting to the internet. At work, I can join the wifi network, but I cannot connect to the Internet. My workplace does have a filter/firewall (not sure which is the right term), but I cannot get to it in order to put in my password. On my computer, whenever I click on the Safari icon, the welcome screen on which I type my password is the first thing to pop-up. Why does it not do this on my iPad?

    I know that I can ask the IT people this same question, but they will just fix the issue, and I like to figure out how to do things on my own.

    Does the company wifi make use of a proxy server? If so, you would have to enter it under Settings->Wifi->Click blue arrow next to company wifi->Click Manual/Auto->Enter proxy details

    Excellent question. Can you tell me what a proxy server is? I have heard the phrase a hundred times, but I don't really get it.
