Printing from ipad

You need to be on WiFi and your printer has to be AirPrint capable. You don't need an Internet connection for this to work. The iPad will use WiFi to send the print instructions to the printer. This is what Apple has to say about it. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356

Try looking at WePrint app from EuroSmartz. If you have a desktop with a connected printer you can print to it using the app I believe without having to be on the wifi network.

The only WePrint app I found was this one.

It lets users send their Instagram photos to be printed and mailed back to the sender. This is done at a cost for the user. I don't believe this is what the OP wanted.

The only applicable app from EuroSmartz is Print n Share, which may help the OP.

What about the features of Dropbox or Google cloud Print? Have you looked into any of those for your use?

From what I can tell I need my printer and iPad to be on the same wireless network to print to it.

I guess they haven't developed a printer that works over a cellular network so that it will connect with my iPad and I can print without having to be on a network.
