Pre-owner and very new

Hi all, I'm predominantly an android user but in a couple of weeks am getting an ipad, don't know which one, through my work. I'm hoping that people here will be very nice and welcome me and be patient with my many questions as i have never owned anything apple before.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend. If you can't find the answer you need and you post a question then give as much info as you can to help members help you i.e. iPad 1 or 2, etc. and iOS version and name of app if the problem is with a specific app........and please don't forget to read the forum rules http://www.ipadforums.net/forum-rules-help-info/2119-forum-rules-everybody-please-read.html

Thanks for the warm welcome, I will be back when I get my new toy but in the mean time I am reading through the threads to find things I might need to know. I work in a school and all our students in year 9 (13-14 year old) are being issued with ipads so obviously the teachers and support staff need them too, that's where I come in. I probably won't use it as much as the teachers as i run the referral room (bad behaviour room) but will get year 9's in there from time to time so have to have one! Fun times ahead I'm sure.

An iPad? Heck no, go Android because it is superior. The iPad will not play video and there are only 45 applications available. Wait untill screen resolution is greater than 400 x 600. I hear Apple is working on built-in audio and a full color screen, too.
