I was thinking about you yesterday ( collection day ) on my street. A neighbour had pitched a 'Philips' brand CRT. It definitely looked worn and eventually was hauled away
by the truck. My first thought was, had you seen it - it would have been treated as treasure.

This old TV was saved from the dump along with an Astor set, it is a HMV Trent, nice old set, it won't turn on though, so I am planning to restore it along with the Astor

This is a Windows ME machine that I found at the dump with original monitor and keyboard, I had to dump the original mouse because it didn't work

Cool! I finally have it working right nd I'm thinking of upgrading it to OS X 10.4
