Hi everyone, please help
I bought my ipad2 about 10 months ago, and suddenly it's gone crazy!
It opens apps by itself, skips songs, turns pages of ebooks and types by itself.
It's getting very annoying, since once it starts, it's almost impossible to stop.
Admittedly, a couple of months after I bought it, I dropped it and shattered the screen, but I got it replaced by iFix ,which cost a fortune of course. I'm wondering if going to apple will help me, they're very sticky about repairing and replacing...

You may have a touchscreen problem. You may want to make a Genius appointment at an Apple store. If it is a hardware problem, it will be covered under warranty.

As scifan mentioned, this may be an issue with the touchscreen, and you should take it to an Apple store and get a Genius appointment. In the meantime, hello, and welcome to the forum!

Sadly, living in South Africa means a lack of genius bars.

Is there an authorized Apple service center on South Africa?

Unless iFixit is an authorized Apple repair facility (I don't know) then the Apple warrantee is probably no longer valid.

The OP would then have to pay the full cost of the repair.

I would email iFixYouri and explain to them whats happening. It sounds like something is faulty in your new touchscreen. This has also occurred to The New iPad's in some cases right out of the box and that have not been damaged.
