Poor wifi on one iPad and not another

Hi

I have access to two iPads. We've had one (iPad 2) for two years and only recently the wifi reception seems to have deteriorated such that, unlesss I'm in the same room as the router, it's hard to get a signal. We have access to another new iPad (also iPad 2) and it connects no problem throughout the house.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might revive the quality of the connection on the first iPad? I have tried quite a few things but none have worked.

Have you tried going to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings? This will reset the network settings to factory default, without erasing any data. You will, however, have to re enter network passwords, etc..

If this doesn't work, you could try resetting your router.
