Pdf blocking email

I was sent a Pdf file as an attachment with an email. I downloaded it, and rather than open in any of my other Apps, as I had expected it would, it opened instead within my email. I cannot close it, and cannot access my email.

I have accessed the email account from a computer and deleted the massage that had the attachment in the feeble hope that this would help but it hasn't.

Any advice/assistance would be greatly appreciated

When you are in your Mail app, and the PDF is showing - if you tap the middle of the PDF, a blue button labeled "Done" should appear in the upper left corner of the screen. Press that and the PDF should close.

Also, the Open In buttons to the right will let you save the PDF in other compatible apps.
