Hi, has anyone gotten PDANet to work with iPad2 with OS5 with Verizon Thunderbolt? PDANet says it won't work unless the phone is rooted, but I read somewhere else that you can do it. Any help is appreciated. I would rather not pay Verizon any more money for a mobile hot spot. Thanks!

Moved to the iPad Hacking area where you're likely to get a better response.

Hi, in order to let your iPad2 on IOS5 tether with a phone, you need the phone to provide a WiFi personal hotspot.
AFAIK, the Android version of PDANet offers Bluetooth DUN (and USB), which you cannot use with your iPad2 unless it is jailbroken, and that's not an option for you with iPad2 on IOS5. But I'll caveat that by saying I'm not an android guy, so I can't help you any further with the phone bit. There may well be a wifi personal hotspot solution, but I don't know enough about that to comment. Sorry.
