    When I email myself a document I've created on Microsoft Word and press the open in button pages no longer shows up. However, when I email myself another document created elsewhere it does show up. What have I done wrong. By the way I have downloaded many documents already from the same word files.
    Can anyone help me solve this problem?

    Make sure the document has the doc or docx file extension. This is how iOS knows what apps are compatible.

    Edit: I'm not sure if I got the docx extension right. It's the newer format anyway.

    docx is right. Take the old extension and add an x: pptx, xlsx, docx.
