Could some one give me a tutorial on how to get open iboot on my iPad 1. Or can someone give me a tutorial on how to make a
openIboot.img3 file for an ipad 1 so I can install openiboot on my ipad. I know its possible to install open iboot on an iPad. I've seen people
install it on youtube

The older method of using BootLace as an automated installation medium is the simplest. The down and dirty console/terminal method is not recommended because the package source is not updated. BootLace can be found in the BigBoss repository last time I checked. Your iPad 1 MUST be on iOS 4. Issues arising from installing OpeniBoot and there after are completely on your terms.
