Do you know the TV series "Ice Road Truckers", or is it just shown here in Europe?

It shows activities of drivers who operate trucks on seasonal routes crossing frozen lakes and rivers in Canada and Alaska.

Is that part of the work you do?

Same kind of roads. I don't watch it often.

Thank you for that clear explanation scifan. I'll have to look for that program. Kevin stay safe it sounds a bit dangerous. I'm really enjoying your photos.

Hi Kevin, looking forward to new pictures. :)

Drifting snow and sheets of ice tonight. I finished a couple of hours ago.

Found a new use for my steering wheel. Watching Apollo 13 on my MBP.

Kevin, what are the light coloured rectangles on either side of your keyboard? Mine doesn't have them.

When did you find the time to watch the movie?

They could be Canadian transport authorities insistence they put them on his MBP so as to warn other traffic he is posting while driving. Do you think? LOL

You didn't give enough thought to your suggestion, I guess. Other traffic can't be warned when they don't have the possibility to see them. I'd think it's for his use only, to show him where the keyboard is approximately, so that he can post more quickly while driving. ;-)

They are the speakers.

Just to clarify, I was parked while I was watching Apollo 13.

The scene where they're copying down the
trajectory data is nerve racking. Even though you know it ends well - you realize how one number written wrong could have changed everything.

Apollo 13 was also one of the first space movies that wasn't science fiction.

I thought so. With your MBP on the steering wheel it would've been hard to drive.
Were you able to watch the whole movie?
