That doesn't seem to leave much room on your side by the looks of it. And good to see that snow and ice has cleared for you at least in that part of the countryside. Just a question. With a wide load like that, do they have an escort vehicle back and front with flags and blinking lights? We seem to have regulations like that in Oz, at least in metropolitan areas.

This one had two escorts, but they were howling down the road, presumably to the next junction and the village beyond to stop traffic. That thing was nearly as wide as the main road. Sometimes they are so high that even on the high load routes, they have people lifting power lines out of the way.

There is a mentality hereabouts that if you can get something onto a trailer, you're good to go.

That's fascinating, mate. Keep those photos coming. Through them we are seeing a part of the world that many of us can't imagine. At times around the local pubs there is a mentality down here that if something "fell off the back of the trailer" you're good to go Take care!

No problem, Andrew. I'll certainly continue to snap away and post here. And if there are any other travelers out there in different parts of the world, I'd be interested in seeing your photographs too.

Where there are people, there are trucks and we can bring an awareness to people who don't have the same opportunities that we do.

This monster was part of a convoy of abnormal loads leaving Nisku this week.

I didn't count, but I'm guessing there were about 10 of them.

Are these deliveries part of a rush to beat the closing of the winter roads?
