    Is it possible to make notations on saved pictures on I pad 1? If yes, how is that done.

    I'm not 100% what you are asking for, but it might be Skitch.

    Have a look at A+Signature.....just type signature in the App store and this will take you to it.

    It has a video tutorial within the app too which makes it so much easier. Enjoy!

    Thank you all very much. I will try a+signature and skitch and see if onemofmthem will work. Imreally want to put captions under the pictures I have saved on my iPad.

    Skitch is more about annotating/illustrating your pictures, but it's free, so it won't hurt to look.
