noooob..... ipad ii gps ?

    hi all, new here :)

    i am considering purchasing my first apple, a ipad WiFi & 3G.
    my question is, do i have to subscribe to a 3g service in order to receive gps data?

    No, the GPS will work without a 3G plan. You can even turn off the 3G radio and it will work.
