No possibility of deleting apps

Going through Settings or just by holding on an app for a few seconds does not offer any deletion option. Any clue? Thanks

You can prevent apps from being deleted by turning on restrictions.

Go to Settings > General > Restrictions and check the settings in there. You should set Allow: Deleting Apps to ON to allow them to be removed.
Also, if your device is provisioned by your company (or another 3rd party), it is possible for them to prevent you from removing apps.

Which apps are you trying to delete? The stock apps that come with a new iPad can't be deleted. If you're trying to delete other apps, you may have the ability to delete apps turned off in restrictions. Go to Settings>General>Restrictions>Deleting Apps and make sure it's set to on.
