Recent "news" popping up in the rumor mill of the next generation iDevices to not have a physical Home Button. I'm guess this gave someone the idea when iOS 4.3 Beta came out with the 4-5 finger pinch to home feature. This could also be Apple just testing out these features for future devices down the line. The new hand gestures that Apple implemented into iOS 4.3 Beta do take away the need of a physical home button. You can swipe up to bring up the switcher and also swipe through backgrounded apps side by side. Still just a rumor, but something to keep in mind.

It would be interesting to see them go this route, as Steve Jobs never wanted a button on the original iphone either. Hmm...maybe this will actually come to be. Maybe in the new iOS we will see something like a home button integrated into the screen like on the Xoom or maybe it will be all gesture based.
