Hi All

Joined the site this evening as I'm looking for someone to suggest where I can get my ipad 2 screen replaced in my area. I'm from N E Wales, UK. I've replaced screens on other phones but not sure I want to risk DIY on my ipad. It was dropped and the glass has broken.

Anyone suggest where to get it done? Don't want to deal with Apple direct.

Is there a reason why you don't want to deal with apple?

I believe they'll only replace/charge me for a refurb unit and not actually repair mine. Is that right?

Well a refurb is effectively as good as new, I know as my first iPad was a refurb.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Yes this is true but we have many members just as happy with a refurb iPad. Is your iPad still under warranty? As doing it this way will void whatever warranty you have left. Also please be aware that we have had many members whose wifi stopped working after having their screen replaced in this way as the wifi cable was damaged during the replacement.
