Hi everyone,

I am very excited to say I just received the Ipad 2 for my birthday Wednesday and can't wait to learn more about it's capabilities. I am not a technology guy so-to-speak but I do use a BlackBerry for work and my PC in my office. I am looking more for recreation with this gadget and will probably do some work stuff with it too. I am looking for any helpful suggestions, app's, tips, etc. for a newbie like me. I am also thinking of attending a class at the store on the Ipad, I know this thing is a treasure trove of convenience and fun; I just need to learn how to utilize it!

Also on the whole Adobe flash player thing, Iswifter seems to be a paid service? Is it $2.99 per month or a one time shot? Any work arounds on that would be awesome too, I use it mostly for Google videos... Thanks everyone!

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

Results using iSwifter can be very variable depending on what Flash you're trying to watch. A workaround adopted by many members is to use Splashtop - it's a remote viewer for your PC, so you can bring up your PC screen on your iPad and control all of your PC's features, which means you can play Flash on your PC and 'see' that on your iPad.

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.
