Hi:

I have had my iPad since early this year but have not been able to schedule any help sessions at the Apple store near me.Have run into a few things that I don t know how to do, so thought I would ask the experts!

How do you right click?

How do you delete unwanted contacts from Skype?

I'll be back to get the answers....

Hi, Fellgarth! Welcome to iPF!

In Skype, choose "People" on the left. Then tap one of your contacts and hold it. This appears:

Tap the contact you intend to delete (x), and you'll see this:

Choose "Remove", and "Done" when you've finished deleting.

To simulate a right click, tap somewhere and hold your finger onto the screen, and there are a few possibilities what you'll see:

Hi again J.A.

Just tried both things. The Skype one worked perfectly! Thanks

When I try to right click by tapping and holding, the only option it seems to give me is to copy what is highlighted in blue. Any suggestions? Thanks

It depends on where you try to "click right". If you tap and hold on a picture, you get more/other options. If a word/text is highlighted, you can only copy it, to paste it somewhere else.

If you want options like these:

you have to tap and hold on a place where nothing is written/between words.

Hi Leelai,

Thanks for all the useful information and links. Will check them out today.

How is the weather there? My daughter and family are coming home from Bathurst for a visit next month - can't wait!

How nice that will be for you! Are you an Aussie abroad?

It's been pretty cold and breezy here lately but we've been having beautiful clear sunny days!

I'm guessing they will be pretty happy to be escaping winter here.

Hi,

No, I am not Aussie abroad - am a Canadian with a globe-trotting daughter who ended up marrying an Aussie and moving there. They got married on the edge of Kananga Boyd (sp?) and now have a 3 1/2 year old daughter. Am trying to figure out when I should visit next time when we are going to visit the Cairns area. Any suggestions?

Well what a lovely area to be married in.....I haven't been quite so far but the Blue Mountains area is just beautiful. Congratulations!

Well Cairns enjoys good weather year round really, but if you want to avoid the hot hot times, avoid November, December and January. It's also the rainy season then, not that they get too much of that up there.

You can enjoy a lot of sights there also, the natural rain forests and of course the Great Barrier Reef which is just spectacular to see, even better if you like snorkelling! ;)
