Hi, I'm Amanda. I currently own a hp touchsmart tablet pc and an iPhone 4 and am interested in the iPad 2. I am a college student and am required to have a laptop in class everyday so I am hoping to use the iPad in place of my bulky laptop. Unfortunately I am not too sure if I can use the iPad for everything i need in class, my main question is about creating excel files, so I am going to post the question in the iPad at work section since it deals with more in depth questions involving office usage. Thanks in advance for help!

Hi Welcome to the forum. I hope you find the answer to your question. Personally, I think having a laptop is always a good idea, unless you can easily access the labs at school for typing out essays...or running special programs. I guess it depends on your major. :)
