Just got an Apple iPad. Never used Apple, or any tablet computer, for that matter. Know nothing about them and would like some help getting started.

    Hi, Dianna79! Welcome to iPF!

For a start, and to get to know your device a little better, here's a link to the iPad User Guide: http://help.apple.com/ipad/7/
This one is for devices running the latest software.

There are also ebooks available in iBooks Store (an Apple app that has to be downloaded through App Store), or you look for instructions as PDF (these can be found on Apple's support site) and save these to one of the apps on your iPad.

I'm reading through the online manual and sure I'll have some questions when I finally get around to it.:)
