My son bought me an iPad for my birthday and I love, love, love it. The only thing I haven't been able to do so far is get my Birthday calendar to show up. There is a checkmark by it so it should show, but I can't select it when I create a birthday reminder my only options are the general iPad calendar and my work calendar. How do I activate it so I can select it from the list when making a birthday reminder.

The Birthday calendar is actually pulled from your Address Book. It keeps it all in one place I suppose.

Just go into your Address Book, select the group you want (important if you wan the address to be created in that group) and select or add a new address. When you are editing you will see an Add New choice at the bottom of the screen. Tap that and select Birthday to add one.

The new Birthday will show up in your Calendar app.
