I'm Joseph, an American from Waddell, AZ, now residing in Cambridge, UK, where I've pursued an MPhil in Linguistics, but now pursuing a Ph.D in Information Technology Education. Just purchased an iPad2 about two weeks ago, or as they would say in the UK, about a fortnight ago, and hope to be one of the first, if not the first, to complete a Ph.D dissertation on an iPad. After considerable research, I opted not to go for the Zagg Mate but instead the Adoni Writer and a New Trent Bluetooth Keyboard, both of which I'm quite happy with for different reasons but expect I'll end up resorting to the Mac bluetooth keyboard and dock. I'm enamoured of almost everything Mac but enjoy Windows 7 Pro in Parallels Desktop - the best of both worlds. For sure, it's an understatement to say I'm a bit a of a lover of gadgets, a hobby I can't financially support but which fully nourishes my world of dreams... I'm pleased and happy to learn the iPad community is friendly and will do my very utmost to reciprocate in kind. :ipad-keyboard: :)

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad
