Hi everyone. My name is Vickie and I have one of the original 64gb wifi iPads. My husband got me a new iMac for Christmas (an IOU) but I would have had to rearrange my workroom so drastically that I asked him if I could buy an iPad instead and it has really come in handy. I babysit my new grandson every other week for 3 days at a time and I can keep up with email and other activities without having to lug around the iBook. My kids have a wireless network, I have one set up at home and even have one set up at my Dad's (he's 80-it's for my use only!!) so not having the 3G model hasn't been a problem. I have downloaded an app on my Android phone that is supposed to allow me to tether without shelling out another $20 to Verizon but haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

Looking forward to learning more about this nifty gadget!

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!
