When I updated my iPad with the most recent update, about 33% of my icons were removed from my desktop. They are on the iPad, but if I can't remember the name to search for them, I can't find them. And now I have discovered that anything new I download is not creating a new desktop icon. Is there now a limit to the number of pages of
icons? Or is there a setting I can change so they all show up again? I hate the changes that occurred with the last
update! I can't stay signed in on my favorite sites, it won't auto-fill my info, etc. But the icon thing is making me so crazy I'm ready to just pitch the thing out the window. Can anyone help?

There is an 11 page limit for the springboard, and once you go beyond that you need to use spotlight to search and find the extra icons.

However, Apple introduced folders in IOS 4.x, so that you can group common / similar apps together, so with 12 apps per folder you can greatly increase the number of apps visible across the 11 pages. I think it's probably time you look at organising some things into folders :D

To create folders, simply hold an icon until the all start to wiggle, then drag one icon on top of another similar one to create a folder. You can drag them back out onto the springboard in the same manner if you no longer want an app in a folder.

Hope that helps.
