    Hi,

I am new and I am going to purchase an ipad for my b-day as a present to myself.

I would like to be able to do pivot tables on the ipad without remotely accessing my computer... Will any apps support pivot tables.

I am new and would love to learn the power and what I can do on the ipad..

    Thanks

Congrats on getting the iPad. Sorry I don't know of any pivot tables. Try doing a search on itunes and then google. I found a lot of useful info on apps doing searches and then I decided if the app is for me or not. I prefer youtube because most of the time I find the app on there and watch the demo. Good luck.

I'm pretty sure you can't use pivot tables in any of the Excel-capable apps. See this thread (http://www.ipadforums.net/iwork-forum/42617-pivot-tables-numbers.html) where a bit more discussion is developed.

I think the main answer is that you'll need Excel to use pivot tables. Which means either not using the iPad or using a remote access app to get into your main computer.

    Sorry.
