New and i need help

    Hi I'm new to the iPad world. When I go to check my mail I get a message connection to server failed. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? Is there anything I can do to correct this?

    You need to connect to the wifi.

    Which iPad do you own? Wifi or with SIM card?

    You can try quitting the mail application and restart. 1st, go to home screen, close all open apps and restart the iPad and if that really didnt help at all, reboot by holding down the sleep and home button (at the same time) for mosty likely 10-15 seconds till the Apple Logo appears :)

    Alice's pointers above are good. You could also try disconnecting your router/modem for say a minute, then re-connect. Let us know if any of that worked. Other solutions may be possible.
