need help canceling ipad 3 ios6 update please

hey guys! i accidentally klicked update button on my ipad 3... now ios 6 is downloading and cannot be canceled. i've put my ipad on airplane mode, restarted it but when i turn it back on the update will resume. my ipad is downloading the update through wifi. any advice how to cancel the update? thanks in

I'm afraid you can't cancel the update once it's started.

wow, that sucks. hope i will be to re-restore to 5.1.1 when new redsn0w comes out since i saved my SHSH blobs for 5.1.1. thanks for your reply

i'm still on ios 5.1.1. i've put my ipad on airplane mode for the meantime to prevent the update from downloading and waiting for redsnow to update :)

ok guys, found a solution without restoring thanks to some guys in another forum:
you can use iEplorer or iFunbox to access the ipad filesystem

Browse to /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ and remove the following files:
com.apple.softwareupdateservicesd.plist
com.apple.mobile.softwareupdated.plist
com.apple.OTACrashCopier.plist
com.apple.OTATaskingAgent.plist

you can use iEplorer or iFunbox to access the ipad filesystem.
don't know if have to be jailbroken thou. hope this help somebody
