    Hello all,

I'm going to get my first iPad this weekend. I'm excited because I've wanted an iPad since they first came out. I love my iPhone so I know that I'm going enjoy my iPad. I'm trying to figure out if I should get a iPad 2 64gb or the new iPad 32gb. Any suggestion?

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

I say get the biggest you can afford but at least a 32gb. Have a think about what you want to do on an iPad, the big question is movies, do you want them available anytime as they are the big ticket GB users here, then music, photos, books, GPS maps, and games, the list goes on. Good luck with your choice.

Thanks for the info. I've never downloaded a movie from iTunes. I have Netflix membership & plan on getting Hulu. I currently have a 32gb iPhone which I plan on having most my music, so that I don't use up memory on my iPad.

So which model have you decided on? You will love both regardless but the new screen is very nice.

I think I'm going with the new iPad 32gb. Other than the better screen, is there any major difference in the processing speed?

Yes but it is minimal. The biggest upgrade besides the screen is the camera which is exponentially better.

The processors are the same in the iPad 2 and new iPad, however the new iPad has 1GB of ram versus 512mb in the 2, also the new one has a quad core graphics processor.
