Hello all.
I am looking for an Video editing App that imports the video and audio directly form the camera into the app.
Thus bypassing the iPad camera roll.
The reason is that when my new camera exports video to the camera roll, the video plays but does not play the audio. (Old camera audio no problem).
Seems like the iPad does not have the correct codec for the later file.
Thus when I edit in iMovies I get video but no sound.
Note. The video file plays perfectly in Windows 8

I found a way to fix my problem.
If anyone else has this problem this is what I did.
Using the app MConverter.
It reported my movie as: MOV(h264/PCM_S16le)
I used MConverter to change the Audio Encoder from libmp3lame to libfaac.
The new file was reported as: MP4(h264/aac).
The file then worked in Camera Roll and in iMovies

Awesome! I'm glad you sorted out your issue, even though we didn't help - sorry. TBH, your solution was as confusing to me as your issue.

Thanks for your comments. I'll try simpler!
Old movie camera played video and sound in Camera Roll.
New movie camera played video but no sound in Camera Roll
So I found MConverter app.
It converted the MOV file to that MP4 aac version.
And it played both video and sound.
I guess I got a bit lucky!
Right now i am videoing grandson at Soccer.
Then I will run it all into iMove for my masterpiece!
